These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Fashion Pattern Lab website and your purchase or use of our courses, digital patterns, customized pattern-making services, and related products and services. By accessing the website or purchasing our products or services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About Our Services
Fashion Pattern Lab provides:
- Online one-on-one pattern-making courses and sessions
- Manual and digital pattern-making education
- Digital pattern products
- Customized pattern-making services
- Pattern-making resources and educational materials
Our primary educational and pattern-making specialization is women’s wear.
2. Digital Patterns
Digital patterns are provided electronically in the file format, size range, and variations specified on the relevant product page.
Before purchasing, customers are responsible for reviewing:

- Included variations
- File format
- Printing requirements
- Product description
- Any other information provided on the product page
Customers should verify the pattern and printing settings before cutting fabric.
3. Customized Pattern-Making Services
Customized patterns are developed according to the information supplied by the client. Depending on the project, this may include:

- Measurements
- Size specifications
- Construction requirements
- Fabric information
- Other technical instructions
The client is responsible for providing accurate and complete information.
If incorrect or incomplete measurements or instructions are supplied, Fashion Pattern Lab cannot be held responsible for resulting fit or pattern issues.
Any substantial design change or additional work requested after the agreed requirements may be treated as additional work and may incur an additional charge.
4. Pattern Accuracy and Fit
Pattern making involves technical interpretation of measurements, design, ease, fabric behaviour, construction and fit.
Customers are responsible for making a test garment or toile where appropriate before proceeding with bulk production.
Fashion Pattern Lab recommends testing patterns before cutting final or expensive fabric, particularly for new designs, customized measurements or production garments.
5. Course and Live Session Terms
Course and live-session bookings are subject to availability and the schedule confirmed at the time of booking.
Course content, number of sessions and learning outcomes are described on the relevant course page.
Students are expected to attend scheduled sessions and have the necessary materials, tools, software and equipment required for the course.
For digital pattern-making sessions, Adobe Illustrator may be required where specified in the course description.
Course completion does not guarantee employment, academic results, business success, sales, or any specific professional outcome.
6. Payments
All prices displayed on the website are applicable to the product or service described on the relevant page.
Payment must be completed through the payment methods made available on the website.
For customized services, payment requirements may be communicated separately before work begins.
Once payment is successfully received, an order, booking or service request may be treated as confirmed according to the applicable product or service terms.
7. Intellectual Property
All content available through Fashion Pattern Lab, including:

Purchasing a digital pattern or enrolling in a course does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property to the customer.
8. Prohibited Use
Customers must not:
- Resell or redistribute purchased digital pattern files
- Share paid course materials with others
- Upload purchased pattern files to public websites or groups
- Copy, reproduce or distribute course content without permission
- Use Fashion Pattern Lab materials to create competing educational products without permission
- Claim Fashion Pattern Lab's work as their own
- Share account credentials
- Circumvent website security or download restrictions
- Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
9. Commercial Use of Patterns
A purchased pattern may be used only according to the licence or usage terms stated on the relevant product page.
Unless specifically permitted, the purchase of a pattern does not grant the right to resell, redistribute, sublicense or commercially distribute the pattern file itself.
The physical garments made using a purchased pattern are subject to the specific commercial-use terms stated for that pattern.
10. Website Accounts
Where an account is required, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You must not share your account with another person.
Fashion Pattern Lab reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account where there is evidence of fraud, unauthorized sharing, copyright infringement, misuse, abusive behaviour or violation of these Terms.
11. Product and Pricing Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, prices, images and other information displayed on the website are accurate.
However, occasional typographical, technical or pricing errors may occur.
If an obvious error affects an order, Fashion Pattern Lab may contact the customer to correct the information before fulfilment.
12. User-Submitted Content
If you voluntarily submit reviews, testimonials, photographs, project images or other content, you confirm that you have the right to provide that content.
Fashion Pattern Lab may use customer testimonials or project images for promotional purposes only where appropriate permission has been provided.
13. Disclaimer
Fashion Pattern Lab provides educational and professional pattern-making services based on the information and requirements supplied by the customer.
We do not guarantee that a pattern will produce a particular fit, appearance or commercial result in every situation.
Fabric type, fabric behaviour, measurements, construction technique, sewing accuracy and other factors can affect the final garment.
Customers are responsible for testing patterns before production.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Fashion Pattern Lab shall not be responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from misuse of patterns, inaccurate measurements supplied by customers, incorrect printing, sewing/construction errors, unauthorized sharing of materials, or failure to follow the instructions supplied with a product or service.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any consumer rights or legal remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Changes to These Terms
Fashion Pattern Lab may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, website, business practices or applicable law.
The updated version will be published on this website with the revised date.
16. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws applicable in India.
Any dispute should first be brought to the attention of Fashion Pattern Lab so that the matter can be reviewed and resolved directly wherever possible.
